Príncipe is a flat monthly subscription you can cancel any time. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work, and who processes them.

1. Monthly subscriptions

Paid Príncipe plans are billed as a flat monthly subscription with an included monthly panel quota. Each subscription renews automatically at the start of the next monthly cycle until you cancel.

2. Cancel any time

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account's billing portal. When you cancel, your plan stays active through the end of the current paid period, and you are not charged again. We do not bill for future cycles after cancellation.

3. Refunds

• 14-day goodwill window. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of a charge and we will, at our reasonable discretion, refund that payment.
• Billing errors. If you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a confirmed cancellation — we will refund it in full.
• Mid-cycle cancellation. Monthly fees are generally non-refundable for the current period once it has begun, since you keep access through the end of that period. Where local consumer law gives you a stronger right, that law applies and we honour it.

4. How to request a refund

Email support@principe.cloud from the email on your account, with the approximate date and amount of the charge. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.

6. Bring-your-own-key costs

If you use the bring-your-own-key option, you pay your model provider directly for inference under your own provider account. Those provider charges are between you and your provider and are not part of your Príncipe subscription, so they are not refundable by us.

7. Self-hosted edition

The open-source, self-hosted edition of Príncipe is free under AGPL-3.0 — there is nothing to refund. This policy covers the paid hosted service only.
