Terms of Service

Last updated 26 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Príncipe hosted service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Príncipe runs panels of synthetic expert respondents to pressure-test business and investment decisions — diligence questions, strategy calls, product and security judgments. You submit a question and optional context; Príncipe returns a decision-grade analysis: a stance, the objections that block it, the segments that split, and an honest read on confidence.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your account, your authorised users, and keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be authorised to accept these terms on behalf of the organisation that uses the service.

3. Acceptable use

Use Príncipe for legitimate professional analysis. You may not use the service to:

  1. Generate or solicit harmful or illegal content — including content that promotes violence, exploitation, or that is unlawful in your or our operating jurisdictions.
  2. Infringe rights — submit material you have no right to submit, or use outputs to infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or confidentiality rights of others.
  3. Submit others' personal or special-category data without a lawful basis — do not paste sensitive personal data you are not entitled to process.
  4. Attempt to subvert the system — prompt-injection or jailbreak attempts aimed at overriding the product's instructions, extracting system context, or accessing other tenants' data.
  5. Abuse the service — automated or bulk scraping, attempts to exhaust quota, probing for vulnerabilities, or circumventing rate limits, caps, or access controls.
  6. Resell or misrepresent — repackage the service as your own, or present synthetic-panel output as real human expert opinion without disclosure.
  7. Use the service in any way that violates these terms or the applicable model provider's usage policies.

An automated input check screens submissions before a panel runs and may reject prohibited content with an explanation. Use must also comply with the underlying model provider's usage policies; violations there can affect availability. Report abuse to support@principe.cloud.

4. Synthetic output is not advice

Príncipe's panel is synthetic — model-generated expert simulations, not real people and not professional (legal, financial, or security) advice. The statistical checks describe the panel, not the world. Outputs are decision support: one input among many. You are responsible for the decisions you make, and you must not present synthetic output as genuine human expert opinion without disclosure.

5. Plans, billing & Merchant of Record

Paid plans are flat monthly subscriptions with an included monthly panel quota (see the pricing page). At your quota cap, panel dispatch is blocked until the next cycle or an upgrade.

Paddle is the Merchant of Record / reseller for all paid subscriptions. This means Paddle — not Príncipe — is the seller of record for the payment: Paddle takes payment, handles global VAT and sales tax, issues your invoice, and is the entity your card statement reflects. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled; you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Bring-your-own-key

On the bring-your-own-key option, you supply your own model-provider API key and pay the provider directly for inference, under your own provider contract. You are responsible for that key and any cost incurred on it. On the Managed option, inference runs under Príncipe's provider account, included within your plan's quota.

7. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the content you submit and to the derived results of your analyses. You grant Príncipe the limited rights needed to process your content and operate the service for you. Príncipe and its licensors retain all rights in the hosted platform, brand, and software not released under an open-source licence. The open-source edition of Príncipe is licensed under AGPL-3.0; your rights to that code are governed by that licence.

8. Confidentiality & data

How we handle the content you submit — encryption, EU residency, sub-processors, no-training, retention, and your rights — is described in our Privacy Policy. For business customers, a Data Processing Agreement governs our handling of your data as a processor and names our sub-processors.

9. Suspension & termination

We may warn, throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and will act faster on severe or repeated violations. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. On termination, we delete or return your data per our Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law.

10. Service availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we perform maintenance from time to time.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Príncipe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on synthetic output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing terms & contact

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, form the agreement between you and Príncipe for the hosted service. Questions: support@principe.cloud.
